If the staff created a narrative plot for the other members to follow. For example I'd control the storyline but the characters could interact with each other and with the plot however they felt necessary.
I've noticed some boards tend to fizzle out without and ending, and it might be a good idea to create something with a bit more tension and suspense, as we're all creative writers here it shouldn;t be too hard. Let me know your thoughts and how we could implement this.

Please reword your idea, I can't make heads or tails of what you are trying to do.

I think a storyline sounds like an excellent idea, if we have enough people to execute it that is.

I think the idea is a bit sketchy, mainly because of my experience. If we want to implement something like that we would need to very clearly describe what is going on. A friend of mine crashed his forum by forcing players into a global plot they didn't understand.
Luckily, we have very few people so explanation will be easier, but I just thought you'd like my advice.

Cheers for the feedback... Well if you have any more ideas for improvement keep them coming.

if I may. maybe an out of character? It may prove even somewhat helpful to plan out some of the on going and future roleplays.

I think she means on a larger scale, we have General Discussion, but that's about it. There should normally be about as much OOC on a site as there is IC.

somewhat to the point where there would be an ooc for each roleplay on the board so that those that are in the roleplays can discuss their ideas there. So that everyone involved in the roleplay can see the ideas and not have a one on one conversation through pms and such so that the rest of the characters are lost as to what is going on.

Just put an OOC: tag before your message and ship it with the rest of your message. If you have something to discuss, make an OOC thread in the "General Discussion" forum.

Just from looking around, and maybe I've missed something here, but how many of the boards have a good defined ending, or a cliff-hanger that could lead to another plot. I've noticed alot just fizzle out. If there's a narrative, which allows the IC to interact freely, but with an OOC that can swiftly lead the plot on, and be responsible for it. For example there would be 5 IC writers and 1 OOC writer, who plays the narrator. The narrator would create other characters and throw different scenarios that the IC's would have to overcome.

You mean like a Game Master or Dungeon Master? That would be interesting. It would make sure that threads don't just stop.

Well, I am new to this whole rp thing but I have talked to friends about it and such and I just read what you guys were walking about and I agree that 4 or 5 IC players with 1 OOC player would be a good idea, make it more entertaining.

So any ideas about what we'd like to include in the plot? I'll work something out when I'm free.
