Larkov glanced up at the knight briefly, that smile never leaving his face as he continued dashing through the undergrowth, slowing none at all even to jump out small boulders or a particularly large bush. "Not sure, yet," he laughed with the exhiliration of a hunt. "But the wolves think it's something nasty and I tend to believe them more often than own instincts. Just be on your guard." THe words that flew from his mouth contradicted starkly with his tone and tht ever present smile. He hadn't had a good hunt in a long while. Without warning, he and Young Bull turned as one and began traveling to the north, never slowing a hair. "It's running now that it's certain we know it's here." That was directed back toward the knight with a barked laugh. He obviously did not think that the creature would be able to escape.

As the drought slid down the young man's throat, color blossomed in his cheeks and for the first time he breathed easily. Still, his eyes did not open and his dark hair was damp with sweat against his brow, "Olivia..." Images of the witch that had seduced him spiraled in his mind, beckoning him towards darkness. Then there was Kiara calling him towards the light. The sound of foosteps and weapons drawn...he felt his sister's cool hands upon his forehead, keeping him anchored to reality, "Kiara, what's going on? Where are we?"

Ashlee grabbed hold of her brother and stood up "Come on lets get hold of him" she said, she waited for her to also grab hold of him and supported some of his weight. "Right, just follow me let me led the way and what ever you do dont slow down just keep running" she said to her she knew that the creatures would be able to catch up to them quickly if they didnt run. She waited for Kiaras reply

The Black Knight keep his eyes & ears open as they moved threw the forest. As they moved on, it started to have an eeriness to it. And with the eerines, one could almost since that the creatures, that they hunted where close. Perhaps closer then they would kind comforting, when they could not see them.

Larkov stopped suddenly as he got a whiff of something foul. It was faint enough that he barely noticed at all, but that faint odor was his only warning before something jumped from the undergrowth. In the brief span of a second, Larkov was able to see that the thing closely resembled an overgrown wolf, standing upright on its hind legs. However, in place of the normal tail of a wolf was a long scaly thing like that of a lizard. It's beady red eyes bored into Larkov's own golden yellow orbs as it rushed at him, a curved scythe-like sword raised as if to strike and a guttural scream issuing from its throat. Larkov barely had time to get his claymore from his shoulder and up to defend himself.
He was strangely aware of two other such creatures leaping from the bushes around the knight moments after the first. With a great effort, Larkov pushed with his claymore, knocking the thing back. It was stronger than it's spindly little arms implied at it came back at him twice as fiercely as it had the first time. GLancing over his shoulder, larkov saw the knight had his hands full with a second of the creatures and seceral wolves were attempting to bring down a third.
Turning his attention back to the thing--Twisted Brothers, the wolves had already named them--he began flwoing through forms. River Down the Mountainside met Rose Falling Free. Crane Taking Flight blocked Wolf Hunt--that one nearly took off his head. Form after form, steel met steel in a clang that seemed to ring in his ears forever. When all was said and done, Larkov stood over the thing, lying on the ground with its head a few paces away where it had landed when severed from the body. Sweat rolled down his face as he leaned on his claymore and looked about. It had been far better with a sword that he had thought something like that could be. As he glanced at the others, he noticed that the wolves had managed to rip the throat from the one they'd fought--at the expense of the lives of two of their own number. Young Bull's head tilted back as he let out a long, mourning howl for those who'd been killed. Panting heavily, Larkov finally glanced at the knight to see how he was doing with his.

The Knights black stallion, stopped as if sensing something & with that the knight drew his sword, knowing his horse was wiser then him at where the ones they hunted where.
A quick movement from his flank, with a sound like no other. His horse instinctively kicked at the beast. Giving the knight an extra moment to swing his sword, at the beast. His blade cut the beast, but did not stop it.
In fact it only appeared to anger it to the point, it did not feel the blow. The smell that came with the beast was like none other & he knew he would remember that odder for a long time, if not tell the end of his life.
He quickly blocked a blow from the beast & struck with his own. He quickly trusted his blade into the beast, before twisting his sword with in the flesh of the beast & drawing it back out.
Blood went ever where, as the flesh was riped open. And the smell of blood soon field the air, only once he was sure the beast was dead did he look to see how everyone else faired.

THat smile that had been ever-present during the hunt flickered back onto his face as he straightened wearily. Young Bull came to his side then. "THere's some kind of gathering place for them further into the woods," he told the knight with a glint in his yellow orbs that said he was having the time of his life. "Should we crash the party or leave them be for the time being?

The Knight looked at him as he spoke, at his question. The knight though before he answered. "As much as I would like to crash there party, I think at the moment we should make sure Ashlee, Kiara & her brother are safe. Once we do that, I see no reason not to hunt crash the party as you put it."

Somehow the words weren't comforting, "Where are we?" He questioned again.

He nodded stoically as the smile slipped from his lips. Slipping the claymore back into its sheath on his back, he left the wolves to tend their dead and started back toward Kiara and Ashlee. He sent Young Bull out ahead of him in case they had decided to move on instead of staying where he had told them.

Catching up to the girls quickly, despite the fact that they had moved, Larkov's face was nearly a thunderhead as he strode toward them. "What is the meaning of this?" he demanded angrily, addressing Kiara--Ashlee he completely ignored. "You come stumbling from the woods, sobbing that your brother is dead, then run off with a simple 'I need herbs. He might still be alive.' And now, you've decided to move him. Do you want your brother to die, Kiara? If his wounds are that so terrible, he should be lying where I left you last, not being moved about the forest like a sack of barely." He never once raised his voice, but each and every word was delivered crisply as the man broke them off with a sharpness that had made men half again his age cringe and wince for knowing they had upset him. He was once again the commander of an army, even if it was a small one.
Stopping a few feet short of the girls, his stern glower tried to bore through Kiara's head. "Put him down and do your healing here," he commanded. It was not a suggestion. "He'll be safe enough until he can walk on his own with the knight and I around. And the wolves will give plenty of warning before anything gets near enough to do any real harm." He crossed his arms over his chest and planted his feet stiffly. He was not a man who was used to being disobeyed. He would have his way if it killed him.

When he caught up to the rest of the group, he was suppered that they where moving. It was not wise to do so, unless one had on other choose. He did not speak a word for, Larkov was already speaking & it was close to what he would of spoke as well. He waited to see what they would do, f they would listen or if they would give there own.

Ashlee ran as fast as she could holding onto the man with her strenght. She could just make out her house up ahead even though the branches of the trees were hard to push past "Were nearly there" she said She heard the growling of a creature behind them "RRUUNNN!" she said grabbing him tight and runing fast picking up speed
