The Black Knight rode quietly threw the forest, down a path. There was trees all around & the soft sound of a nightingale that was singing, even with it being close to morning the dawn had yet to push back the shadows of the night, from the land.
And most people would not of been up yet to meet, the day. But he was for he had much on his mind & he need to think on what the best thing to do would be.
You could hear the clopping of his horse hooves at they hit rock, here & there. There was also the reselling of leaves as the wind, blew threw the trees & knocked the leaves lose to drift into the path.
There was only the light sound at times of armor clinking, as well as a horse sneeze. The Knight rode on, until he though he heard something. He stopped to see if he heard it once more, he listened closely to see what it was if anything but the sound of the forest.

Larkov had heard the horses hooves and had gone to see who had come into the forest. Young Bull strolled with him until they came to a cobbled path, a surprise that--he'd never noticed it before. A few yards down the path stod a horse carrying the Black Knight. He knew not the knight's name, but he had seen him many a time. Slowly, he stepped out on the path and let his keen eyes study the man intently. He didn't look at all dangerous from here. But then, he probably wasn't ready for an kind of battle. Being on edge made most people seem more dangerous than tey were. Leisurely he leaned against a nearby tree with arms crossed over his broad chest and stared at the man. young bull sat at his feet, waiting to see if something would happen.

The Black Knight looked around once he stooped, his eyes came to rest on a lone figure. The figure was leaning against a tree..the though of a trap or ambush came to mind. But why would they wish for him to know they where there...unless. His mind though of many things that could be, but then if he listened to half of them he would of not of even come into the forest.
He lightly tapped his horse sides as he rode on, bringing him closer to the man slowly. He was sure to keep his eyes on him or at least him in the corner of his eye. Just in case any thing happened.
He had seen the man before, in white stallion. But other then that he did not know any thing about the man.

As the knight came closer, Larkov tensed a bit, not enough for anyone who would see it to notice, but enough that he would be able to free his sword should the need arise. "What brings you to the forest, Good Sir?" he asked gruffly when the man was close enough to hear. In his mind he could feel the rest of the pack closing in to see what was going on. They would not attack unless he told them to. But having them there at the ready made Larkov relax a little, just a hair.

The Knight stopped when he heard the man speak, he could only find the words that fit best. "Nothing relay, I just wish to meet a new day as it arises. And you sir, what brings you here into the forest?"

"I live here," Larkov replied flatly. "With my companions." He reached down and gave Young Bull a scratch behind the ear at that to indicate who his campanions were. "I don't much enjoy company," he started before he could stop himself, "but if you are hungry, I have some rabbits and a couple of squirrels back at the den. you're welcome to have breakfast with us. Myself and the pack that is."

The knight nodded at his words, he did not miss who his companion was. And from the looks of it there was more then just one. "I can respect that you do not enjoy company. For it is not the friendliest to have at times. At his question of if he wish for any thing he shock his head no "No that is alright, I am not hungry. But thank you for the offer, you are kind to offer."

Larkov shrugged and turned as if to go, but stopped midstride and faced the knight again. "I should warn you," he said in a low voice, "that the pack has sighted many a strange thing lately. Shadows mvoing in the dark, but when they investigate there's not even a trace of anything. Not even a whiff of any scent. They've seen stranger things, as well. Things that I cannot even describe." He shook his head slowly as if thinking. "These are dangerous times to be out, Sir Knight, without one to watch your back for you. Even in the day. I would be careful, were I you."

He watched the man as he turn as if to go before he stopped & spoke to him once more. He nodded at the mans words he nodded "I thank you for the warning, I will be sure to keep my eyes open & be on alert for trouble.'

Larkov's head whipped around as Kiara stumbled onto the path. WHat in the Nine Hells? How had he not heard her coming? He could see she was crying and was rushing to her in the blink of an eye. "Kiara? Are you all right? Are you hurt? Who did this to you?" Young Bull who had bounded toward her before Larkov could so much as twitch a muscle growled threateningly. However, it was a threat to whomever had hurt the girl, not at her. "Larkov checked her over quickly to make sure she didn't have any life threatening wounds. "Come, Child. Come to the den with me so we can get you rested and perhaps get some warm food in you." He threw a glance to the Knight, that invitation he had given him still in effect from the look he gave him.

The Black Knight heard her words, but did not speak a word. For he had been in the woods, when she had carried her brother into the woods. He though about fallowing them in to th den, but he did not know if she would want him around. For if not for him, she might have got to her brother sooner.

Kiara looked up at the knight, her eyes filled with sorrow. but perhaps her brother wasnt even dead, maybe he was simply passed out. she should try to heal him. but she needed to find the herbs she needed to heal him.

He could sense some kind of history between the knight and Kiara. He could smell the uncertainty about the armored man and the sadness on the girl. However, he said nothing, letting them have their small moment. In his experience, interupting in something like this could make one an enemy he didn't want. After a moment, he spoke up quietly. "Well, let's get some food in you and get you some rest. You can tell me what happened and I'll see what I can do to help."
