Name: Ryse Autumnsky
Race: Inarta (described in 2nd post)
Appearance: Ryse has brilliant, deep red hair with blond streaks that falls to her waist. Her eyes are a chilling glacier blue set in a slim, intelligent face. She's tall (5'8") with a slender build that belies her strength. Her skin is pale, and only slightly tanned.
Personality: Ryse is often described as cold and uncaring, but oh, does she have a heart. She's just very reserved about who she gives it to. She's incredibly loyal, and will do anything for her Wind Eagle, Shyr. Sarcasm is Ryse's constant companion, and she uses it well.
History: Ryse grew up in the Forest of the Winds, in a remote part of the wilderness called Skywera. She was content with her life there, in training to be a Wind Rider. Her brother, Sygorn Thundersong, was very important to her and when he left, Ryse was heartbroken. She later found out he was captured and held in the Dungeons of the King himself, and Ryse has vowed to find him. That is the reason for her venture away from Skywera, and the reason she's in Porthaven- to find traveling companions for her journey.
Weapons and Clothing: Ryse constantly carries her beautifully-made and intricately-carved yew longbow, as well as her quiver of goose-fletched arrows. She is an amazing archer, so it's best to stay out of her way when she's mad. She also has four pearl-handled throwing knives and a dirk, in case a fight gets nasty. Her normal everyday attire includes her woolen dark brown traveling cloak and lighter brown dress. Ryse also carries her black silk cloak and white and red gown for more formal occasions.
Companions: Ryse's constant companion is her giant Wind Eagle, Shyr. They have bonded so deeply that whatever pain one feels, the other will also.Shyr communicates with Ryse through a form of telepathy, and is very intelligent. They would do anything for each other. Ryse has also picked up the habit of picking up cats, dogs, birds, or other small animals to bring with her on her journey. Shyr isn't so sure about sharing his Inarta with other creatures.
