History:
At first, when Sidhe-Seers were royalty and their abilities prized, they were hunted down by The Hunt (worst of the fey), and all the scattered bloodlines nearly wiped out. They went into hiding, recording sightings and learning what they could for future generations, until one woman – Ainsley’s grandmother – was caught. This resulted in the entire family being enslaved, as the Compact denied any bloodshed between human and fey.
Ainsley, as a child, was taken to the Seelie Court where she would remain for nearly a century, aging far slower due to the time difference there. That she would soon be released was not intended; Sidhe-seers could expose the Tuatha Dé with enough determination. Although older than most humans, she was kept extremely sheltered under the fruit-laden trees and learned very little but a vague recognition of various fey creatures.
It was a solitary fey, angry at the inevitable tithe that would bind her to the Unseelie Court, that would release the minority of the children kept there. This was able to happen because the Seelie Court and Unseelie Court were at war, an invasion staining their bright forest and a part on Ainsley's mind. While her mind protected her from the horrors by hiding the memories, there is the occasional trigger to bring them home.
Although not originally of magical origin, the time spent in the Seelie Court granted her a few abilities: to make things grow, to sift, and a small amount of glamour. Ainsley is still a child at heart and mind, ever optimistic and able to see the better side of things. Although bright, she has yet to learn most things of the world she now inhabits.
